Proper bra circumference

Proper band size

We all know the symptoms of a too loose underband presented at various websites - the main symptom of an underband which is too loose is raising it to the shoulder blades.
It is true, indeed. However, many women use a few ways to convince themselves that the underband is correct despite the fact that it is definitely too loose.
One of these methods - the most common one - is lengthening the shoulder straps.
When asked: "Why the breasts sag in the bra", they answer "Because my shoulder straps are lengthened". To the next question: "Why not to shorten the straps?" many women answer "Because all underband goes up".
You can, obviously, cheat yourself all life long. I think, though, that it is better to chose the proper underband size and finally to wear the bra on a proper height.
We fit the underband by measuring tightly (and I mean tightly) under the breasts, and then lowering the circumference to the closest bra underband size, that is to the multiplicity of 5. Many women at that point become indignant and declare that they tried to tighten their underband and it was definitely too tight. The problem often is that the underband is measured in a "regular" way, i.e. first the cups were put on and then they tried to hook the bra. It is a mistake! When a cup is much too small the breast does not fit in the cup and either pulls the underband forward or pokes under the underband, what gives an impression that the band is too tight.
To check the underband of a bra try standing naked and hooking the bra with the cups on your back, hooking it under your breasts. In many cases women find with astonishment that the underband is not too tight at all.
Obviously, the underband cannot make breathing more difficult. You must be able to take a deep breath if the bra is fastened at the loosest hook. If you are not able to do this - your underband is too tight. If your underband is too tight it can cause breathing insufficiency. We must keep our common sense in all we do.

A group of women gets caught in a "no bra-rising on the back" trap. Backs of not many of us resemble half of a oval. Most of women have depression around the back bone, some of women even quite a deep depression, what makes hook fastener hang in the air. Naturally, this fastener is raised but the sides of a bra still hold to the body. That is a normal situation - the fastener itself can raise, what is important though, is that the sides of a bra, keeping the breasts at the sides, should not move upwards.
